Termite Control

by jyoti

Termites are among the peeves of modern living as they can invade your house in no time and before you know it, they have already caused significant damage. There are two generally accepted methods for termite control. One is called the barrier method which is more on the preventive aspect. The other one is the baiting method which is employed to eliminate the pesky critters.

The barrier method calls for specialized equipment that will help you set up chemical barriers to make sure the termites can’t enter your property. However, this method involves the spraying of highly toxic chemicals so it is recommended to hand the task over to experts and professionals. On the other hand, the baiting technique is only used once it has been established that termite infestation has already taken place. This method involves the contamination of the food consumed by the termites with toxic chemicals. These chemicals kill the newly born termites and are also capable of disrupting their ability to reproduce. This method is quite effective since you are eradicating the entire colony and you are assured that no new termite population can take their place.

Prevention is the best way to control termites and this is only possible with a carefully planned management method that makes use of physical and chemical means to prevent termites from invading your home
