Student resumes can be tricky to write whether it is high school or college. They are written based on a sound foundation of academic experiences, skills, coursework, and work or internship experience. You must carefully read the job posting and use the same style, language and tone in the posting to make a summary. More importantly, everything you include in the resume should back it up. A well conceived and well written resume can land you the job that you’ve always wanted.
Here are a few tips that you can use to make it easier to complete your resume. The uppermost section of your Professional Resumes should display your personal information including your name, address and contact numbers.
The next section will be about your skills. Being a student, employers won’t expect that you’ll have much work experience. In lieu of your work background, make a list of your skills first. After your skills, list your references in Professional Resumes. You need to have good references since you don’t have much work experience. You may pick three individuals whom you believe will have great words to say in case the employer calls them and make some inquiries about you. Finally, if you have some work experience such as volunteering, baby-sitting, working in restaurant chains, etc., you can also write them down. Make sure you include a brief description of the tasks that you did in those work. Good luck!
